Introduction

Nepal Local Guide is a trusted and officially registered trekking and tour company in Nepal. Our top priority is to provide exceptional services, ensuring you have a safe and enjoyable experience. By booking a trip with us, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before making a reservation.

Booking Conditions

 

1. For Nepal Trips:

  • To confirm your booking, you must provide a photocopy of your passport and pay a 20% deposit of the total trip cost.
  • This deposit is non-refundable, regardless of when you cancel.
  • The remaining 80% balance must be paid upon arrival in Kathmandu before your trek or tour begins.

 

2. For Bhutan & Tibet Trips:

  • A 50% deposit is required at least 20 days before the trip.
  • This deposit is non-refundable in case of cancellation.
  • The remaining 50% balance must be cleared 20 days before departure. If the full payment is not received, Nepal Local Guide reserves the right to cancel your trip.

Note: Any bank service charges while transferring funds are the responsibility of the client.

Credit Card Payments:

  • We accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.
  • A 3.5% transaction fee applies to all credit card payments.

 

Last-Minute Booking

  • You can book a trip to Nepal up to 3 days before departure.
  • However, for Bhutan and Tibet, bookings must be made at least 20 days in advance.

 

Trip Postponement

  • If you need to postpone your trip, you must submit a formal written request.
  • We offer free trip postponement with no additional charges. You can reschedule for any future date that suits you.

 

Cancellation Policy

  • The 20% deposit for Nepal trips and 50% deposit for Bhutan & Tibet trips is non-refundable.
  • If you have paid more than the deposit, the remaining amount will be refunded using your original payment method, minus the deposit.

 

Risks & Liabilities

While we strive to ensure a smooth and safe journey, unforeseen circumstances may require itinerary changes. These include:

  • Government restrictions
  • Natural disasters
  • Political instability
  • Health emergencies

Nepal Local Guide will not be responsible for any additional expenses incurred due to these changes. Travelers are responsible for covering any extra costs.

 

Incomplete Tours

If a traveler discontinues their tour for personal reasons, no refunds will be issued for the remaining days.

 

Unforeseen Circumstances

If a trip is canceled due to natural disasters or weather conditions, we will arrange an alternative tour. While the replacement trip may differ from the original itinerary, your payment will be adjusted accordingly.

 

Travel Insurance

  • Mandatory for all travelers before booking a trip.
  • Should cover:
    • Medical expenses
    • Personal accidents
    • Emergency evacuation
    • Trip cancellation
    • Lost baggage and theft

 

Flight Delays & Cancellations

Flight delays and cancellations may occur, especially in remote regions such as Everest, Annapurna, Dolpo, Simikot, and Jumla due to unpredictable weather conditions.

  • Travelers should carry extra funds for food and accommodation in case of delays.
  • Nepal Local Guide is not responsible for additional costs due to flight cancellations.

 

Code of Conduct During Tours

If a traveler engages in any illegal or harmful activities, Nepal Local Guide reserves the right to terminate their trip. In such cases, no refunds will be provided, and the traveler will be required to leave Nepal immediately.
